How Secret Letter Works
Secret Letter creates a browser-based letter link. It controls when the message becomes readable; it does not automatically email or physically deliver the letter.
Choose the reveal date
Select the date and time when the message should become readable. The link exists immediately, but its letter body stays closed until then.
Save or share the link
Copy the unique URL or share it through a messaging app. Secret Letter does not send a future email, so the link must be kept by you or the recipient.
Important limits
- The link is the key. Anyone who receives it may be able to open the letter after the reveal date.
- Leaving the sender name blank creates an unnamed letter, not guaranteed technical anonymity.
- Letters are not advertised as end-to-end encrypted, one-time access, or automatically deleted after opening.
- Do not store passwords, financial information, legal notices, health records, or other high-risk secrets.
